The Frierson Office Building still stands! John Wesley Frierson was a successful black realtor and supporter of the civil rights events in Nashville. In 1954, John Wesley Frierson had a commercial building built on Jefferson Street to house the Nashville branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
