Nashville Scene’s Taco Week![]()
You didn’t read the title wrong. It is the way it sounds. There’s a buzz around the ‘Ville about tacos and a solar eclipse at the same time due to Monday, August 21st marking the start of Nashville Scene’s Taco Week. Like Nashville Scene’s Burger Week, Taco Week affords taco lovers an entire week of discounted tacos. Participants will vote for their favorite taco. Afterwards, the winning restaurant will receive a plaque.
Nashville Scene encourages every participant to enter the Taco Week Photo Contest by following the instructions below: Solar Eclipse-Aug. 21st
I feel like it was yesterday when news reporters were talking about a major eclipse was coming. Hold up, it was yesterday and the day before and the day before that and…okay, you get the point.
Why the Hype? It’s been over 500 years since Nashville’s witnessed a solar eclipse. The chances of current Nashvillians seeing it in Nashville again are pretty slim. As always consider safety in all that you do. You need protective eyewear to view the solar eclipse. Without it permanent eye damage is possible. Therefore, make sure you obtain the correct eyewear for this event. There’ve been many recalls on the solar glasses. PLEASE CHECK YOUR GLASSES BEFORE AUG. 21ST! Visit NASA to discover safe ways of viewing the solar eclipse. Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) suggests that commuters plan ahead. Also, do not pull over on the interstate to see the solar eclipse. Visit TN 2017 Eclipse to pick a safe location to view the solar eclipse in Nashville. Share Your Eclipse Experience with Me
