Food and music are prime ingredients for a good time in Nashville. There’s ONE upcoming event that incorporates these two things for an outdoor festival on Villa Place in the Edgehill area. That is Edgehill Rocks, an outdoor food and music festival that benefits the Organized Neighbors of Edgehill (ONE). ONE is a neighborhood organization that focuses on the needs of Edgehill residents by providing them with resources. Rather its financial assistance or scholarships, ONE gets the job done for the Edgehill Community. Because of ONE, Edgehill remains an economically and racially diverse community. Edgehill Rocks reflects the spirit of the diverse and unified Edgehill community in Nashville. On Saturday, April 1 from 10 am to 4 pm, Edgehill Rocks will have arts, crafts and food for the Edgehill Community to enjoy. During the festival, there will be a kid’s area and plenty of shopping. Also, live performances will take place on two different stages. Don’t be surprised if you see a familiar face rocking the stage, one that was featured in my first fall episode of TruTalks! That’s right, the soulful songstress Morgan Bosman will blaze the main stage at Edgehill Rocks. “This is my first time playing Edgehill Rocks, so I’m really looking forward to it,” said Morgan Bosman. You can catch her performance at noon on Saturday. Keep in mind that that there will be a few road closures so plan ahead. For specific road closures, visit Edgehill Rocks’ site. This event relies on its sponsors to keep it going so if you’d like to support it, contact JD Events and Festival at Jack@jdeventsandfestivals.com.
