The first African American architectural firms in the nation, McKissack & McKissack designed the historic Capitol Hill building in Nashville! The Morris Memorial Building was built in 1924 by the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc. It sits at the corner of Fourth and Charlotte Ave. This building also housed African American businesses!
